Teacher Beta Participation Agreement (Free Beta)

Effective: July 1, 2026

This Agreement sets the conditions for participating as a teacher in the Sooda free beta (July 1–September 30, 2026). The Operator is Sangjun Song (individual operation, no business registration, kedu202606@gmail.com). The Terms of Service and Community Guidelines also apply.

1. Free and Voluntary Participation

  1. Every beta lesson is free, and a teacher neither charges nor receives compensation from the Operator or a student.
  2. Teachers independently choose whether to participate, their availability, and how many lessons to offer. There is no minimum quota, fixed work schedule, or exclusivity obligation.

2. Legal Relationship

This Agreement is a contract setting the conditions of free-beta participation. It does not by itself constitute an employment or paid contractor agreement. The actual legal relationship is determined under applicable law by facts such as direction, control, and manner of participation, rather than the document's label.

3. Public Display and Sharing of Teacher Information

The teacher consents to the following:

  • Display to Service visitors, including non-members: display/English name, introduction, languages, Korean native-speaker status, and profile photo
  • Additional disclosure to a booking student: the teacher's time zone
  • Purposes: teacher introduction and selection, lesson preparation/conduct, and counterpart identification
  • Period: until the profile is hidden/deleted or the beta ends

Refusal means the user cannot participate as a teacher. Because search engines or other third parties may copy a public profile, do not include unnecessary personal information such as contact details or an address in the introduction.

4. Student Information Provided to a Teacher

After a booking is confirmed, the student's display name, profile photo (if any), and time zone are provided to prepare and conduct that lesson. A teacher must not use, separately retain, or disclose them for another purpose and must delete any separately retained copy when the lesson purpose ends.

5. Lesson and Safety Duties

  • Accurately manage availability and conduct booked lessons diligently and on time.
  • If unable to attend, notify the student and Operator as soon as possible.
  • Do not harass, discriminate, engage in sexual misconduct, threaten, or otherwise violate another person's safety or rights.
  • Conduct lessons on the premise that the Service is restricted to users aged 18 or older.

6. No Recording or Off-Platform Solicitation

  1. Do not record, capture, or transmit screen or audio without the student's separate consent. Sooda does not provide recording.
  2. Do not direct students to external contact, payment, or off-platform transactions. Beta lessons must remain free within the Service.

7. Approval and Measures

  1. Review considers completeness and truthfulness, Service safety, compliance with the Terms and Guidelines, and beta capacity.
  2. Approval may be withheld, denied, or revoked for reasonable grounds such as false information, safety risk, rule violations, or capacity limits.
  3. Unless urgent safety or security action is needed, the Operator will give a reason and an opportunity to respond. Appeals may be sent to kedu202606@gmail.com.

8. Stopping Participation and Beta Closure

A teacher may ask the Operator at any time to stop participation or hide the profile. At closure, Operator-controlled data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days under the Privacy Policy and does not automatically migrate to a full service.

9. Confirmation and Contact

Submitting the application with the consent box selected records the Agreement version and acceptance time.
